Our sole purpose is to raise money by involving our community in a way that brings everyone together. Our goal is to address the root of unspoken issues that need awareness & fought against, Human Trafficking. The horrible contingents of this tragic subject that causes individuals the need for treatment needs our attention. Our fundraising efforts will and shall benefit organizations that are in line with our purpose.
Human Trafficking is a major problem across the globe with over 25 million enslaved. Over 800,000 US children go missing each year! In Indiana alone there were around 180 cases of trafficking reported to the National Human Trafficking Hotline last year. Anti-trafficking professionals recognize from national research and violence trends that the victims who have been identified and served are only a small percentage of a much larger issue. Victims of human trafficking are less likely to identify as a victim of crime
Our 1st fundraiser is scheduled for June 12th, 2021 at the Anchor Conservation Club, 55300 Fresno St. South Bend, IN 46619. This motorcycle ride and fundraiser will be our first attempt in bringing awareness to the community by raising funds to donate to charitable organizations that educate and assist victims of Human Trafficking.
On June 12th we will have a 70 mile escorted ride followed by a opening ceremony with speakers dedicated to educating the public. There will be a bike show, food, live music, vendors, & raffles! Entry into the event is $20 per person which includes a t-shirt & meal ticket. This event is 21 & older.
"The National Human Trafficking Hotline connects victims and survivors of sex and labor trafficking with services and supports to get help and stay safe. The Trafficking Hotline also receives tips about potential situations of sex and labor trafficking and facilitates reporting that information to the appropriate authorities in certain cases." - www.humantraffickinghotline.org
"Founded in 2002, Polaris is named for the North Star, which people held in slavery in the United States used as a guide to navigate their way to freedom. Today we are filling in the roadmap for that journey and lighting the path ahead.
Serving victims and survivors through the National Human Trafficking Hotline. Building a dataset that illuminates how human trafficking really works, in real time. Turning knowledge into targeted systems-level strategies to disrupt and prevent human trafficking." - www.polarisproject.org
